What People Say about Working with Pepper
“We have enjoyed having you as a USF guest lecturer, and since you are now officially a part of our USF Crisis Response Triage Team, after co-leading us in Texas following Houston Harvey hurricane recovery (2017), and in McAllen, Texas on our repeating trips (2018) there to assist at the Humanitarian Respite Center, working with over 400 migrants daily, and doing such an amazing job, I want to keep you involved in our program and community. You bring out the best in all of us.”
Professor Belinda Hernandez Arriaga, EdD, LCSW
Marriage and Family Program Coordinator, University of San Francisco
At the Chancellor’s 2011 Excellence in Management Awards at UC Berkeley, where Pepper worked before going into private practice in 2012, she was described: “Pepper’s enthusiasm for her work in a culturally-diverse community carries over into the workplace, and she is able to model inter-cultural competence by communicating with respect and compassion….” And “Her extensive training in Nonviolent Communication mediation has become a part of the everyday work culture in our department and transformed the way her staff interacts and communicates both in the workplace and in their private lives.”
"Pepper is a wonderful communicator and a natural healer. In my work with her, I feel that she really listens to what the problem or situation is, and then gently and with good humor finds a way to mutually discover what is going on physically and mentally and finds ways to bring it to expression, come to terms with it, and provide practical tools for acceptance and healing.
Her EFT work is remarkable, in combination with mediative and restorative practices. I feel that every session is of value. I had an intractable eye twitch for many months that I knew was caused by work, and it basically disappeared with a couple of sessions.
I also have had an arrhythmia for over 20 years that similarly she found the right approach for, and now find that I can resolve or calm the arrhythmia when it happens rather than having to seek medical help as before. I can't recommend Pepper highly enough! " Meg S.
“I very much benefitted from my series of EFT sessions for personal growth with Pepper and highly recommend her work.” Richard Abbot
“As a kid I saw a horror movie with my older cousins and couldn’t fall asleep because I was haunted by the images in my head from the movie. I’m an artist and very visual and the only thing that worked to finally resolve this so I could get a good night’s sleep was doing EFT with Pepper Black.”
